Well you make coral and fish and use blue fog kinda simple, use rays of moonlight or sunlight so it looks like the sun is shinign thru the water too ;) And for the fog go to scenario, map options and set the fog there, make it like 5,000 z start and 8,00 end. Use blue or dark blue fog. You could make it thicker by making the z start higher Heres an example player_72985 did for shipwrecked example |

The best way is with a dark blue color at .5 density, with z-start of 0.00, and z-end of 6500.00 about. Add rays of sunlight under weather, and you have your underwater scene. If it is suppost to be tropical water or something, use aqua-blue-green for the color and put 9000.00 in the z-end. Don't forget to set the sky to something dark and with low detail. |

Hey, I searched in Scenario, and enabled Terrain Fog. I set the color to Blue Fog, and did what he said, using 5000 Z Start, and 800 Z End, but it's not exactly working. Do you need to be in-game to see the Blue Fog? Or am I just not getting something right here? I would like if someone helps me out here, thanks. |

well for the best use, a deep nearly purple blue(not purple but dark) and a haze or ground fo/dream fade filter...use triggers. unit enters region apply fade filter and fog. |

So. . There's no way I can use my Terrain Fog, inless using triggers? |

Yep, but you must understand, triggering is what makes a map, a map. And plus that trigger is simple. |

No he didn't. He said "dark blue color at .5 density, with z-start of 0.00, and z-end of 6500.00 about". So use 800 Z Start, 5000 Z End... And NO, you do NOT need to be in-game to see the blue fog. Press V for in-game view. And you don't need triggers to turn it on in-game, only for changing the fog. |

ok thx u guys told me how to make the fog but not in only 1 region. im making an rpg and 1 place is underwater so i want it to have the fog only in that region like terrainer666 said when a unit enters region but that would make the whole map blue and i dont want that |

Map-Maker seems to be on his way to victory, but of course I am missing one thing. I do understand everything about setting up the Terrain Fog, but I am not so sure about the one trigger you need to make it function. Can someone tell me how to set up the trigger, since I'm horrible in triggers? I don't mean copy and pasting what the trigger strings are, I just need some simple step-by-steps. |

or u could jus press 'f' and u wouldnt see the "game-view settings"on the topu can also change the color and the density the z and the y thru triggers as well, but if its not dark enought try this, make a trigger: -fade out with (whatever color u want(in this case dark blue)) and then set the transparancy to like 40% that should give a good effect, ![]() also wut kind of fog dou want in only one region? if u mean the normal fog, or the weather effect fog? if u want weather effect fog u man make a region, double click on it, there s an option to put the weather effect fog on that region, if u mean the other fog, why dont u set the fog to turn on when the player reaches that point, and the turn it off when he leaves? |
