cant convert mdl to mdx [to poster:requires mdl for further assistance]

i got yobguls converter, but he cant open the mdl.
i cnp everything into notepad and saved it as name.MDL like some tutorial said.
then i open up yobgul to convert the mdl to mdx. the mdl is just an text file, not an mdl. can some1 help me with this??

just save it as all files and put .mdl at the end.

Mdl's are text files. There's nothing added to the format in any way. Files can be read from and written to in notepad, for all the format cares.

I find that MDLs or MDXs must be within the Warcraft III base directory or higher or else the file converter complains of unknown format.

Thats not entirely true; depending if your sys is comp. with yobguls, you dont need the files to be in the dir. of wc3 min folder.

Regarng the original poster: you just cannot Cnp simple text to the mdl and try to convert it; it has to follow specific rules and its quite precise work: one empty space or tab can already prevent correct converting and will result into errors. In this matter this case cannot be resolve if you do not supply the mdl format here; it is needed to check if you just cnped the vertice data in a empty mdl etc

Not to nitpick, but I believe yobguls is not sensitive to white space (tabs and spaces). At least, that's been my experience.

thanks for you help guys, i tried to cnp it again and making sure that there are no spaces or tabs. then i save again as name.MDL
but i still cant open it, so is there something else that i might did wrong?
well anyways here is some rep for you guys.
