Poll - Favorite Battle Type

What is your favorite battle type, and why?

I would say I have two favorite battle types - LOTR like scale & Matrix-like battles.

Large scale battles are very cool. One large scale battle per Epic is definitely a must most of the time. Seeing hundreds of soldiers (less on the Warcraft III scale of course) charge at each other and engage in combat, with a mix of dragon swoops, etc... really makes for a tense and entertaining battle).

Matrix-like battles are also really sweet. Awesome moves, and kick-ass flips/attacks with a bullet time is just... so friggin sweet ^_^
Of course ripping off the Matrix = bad. You can use some bullet time & effects similiar to it, but repeatedly using it is kinda lame. I find it would be neater to invent your own sort of combat form... not that I've done that yet... o_O

I liked the battle type shown in TTOA, with just a spec. of slow-mo and neato finshing moves and a whole lot-a-lotr like shiet..

Yay one of my favorites forms of combat too! I wonder why...

LOTR class type of super army clash is awesome....you can encompass matrix style low number of people battle within the battle by zooming on heroes killing each other....swooping in and getting a bird's eye view is pretty sweet...

Yah, have hero show-downs in the heat of battle, with enemies in background fighting.
Just don't have one stand there doing nothing like in parts of lotr where gandalf just stood there looking at somthing and strangley the orcs ddin't attack him till after he was done staring...........

Yeah! Blood! BLOOD!!! BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!! Blood raining over the battlefield as the soldiers slice each others flesh to the bones! Heads rolling, bumping and flying over the massed armies! Legs and arms being thrown around in endless fury. Heroes slamming ordinary units into the air as they explode by impact of their mighty weapons! The smell of death lacking out of the screen...

Well, looks like i'll have to skin the skull doodad to look like the sea witches head? hehe......
Or of course it could be really un-realistic and be like mortal combat where jacob does a finishing move like that one jack guy and pull thier skull out of thier head.....
