The Cartographer and Name Contest Thread

It is maybe a little early but post your map(s) drawing(s) here and feel free to revive it if its look dead, this contest will designate the Cartographer for the Community project, i wanna see how you will draw mountains, forests and other elements on a map

Second we need a name for that project so POST your ideas!!!

Get to your pens and mouses* (*optional) and show ous what you can do!

nice indeed moon, note that this is only a contest, its basically just to show how to draw mountain, forest, swamp ect... the real map will need to be big with masses of land

Wow who knew that drawing maps would be fun? Here's my take. It's still a WIP but I decided to show it anyway. See if there's anything you guys specifically want. This is also a pretty damn big picture, so the world will be pretty damn big too. Don't worry about space or running out of room.

EDIT Oh yeah, name of the world is subject to change. I looked for one of those name generators and well, I didn't like any of the things it threw back at me so I just made up my own. Original huh?

i personnaly prefer that good old way of drawing map like beam made, moon is good and he got skills but i think his map need to be a bit more traditional, btw i would like the maps to be brownish-yellow, basically just a bite more darker for beam

Darker ok. Like this? I also added a few little things. Nothing real significant. Just remember that a lot of the names are just placeholders, cuz I can't think of fantasy sounding names.

then we vote on whos map is the best and we call regions like moon's map
