Regions are unhandy!

with such a good WE why does it have a rectangle reagon. I know, I know, all they have to say is 2 points and know how big it is. but thats very unhandy for me. my terran is not in rectangles and i have to set a region over it all. but devided into 3 NON-rectangle areas. it just realy pisses me off.

I was also wondering, is there a way vie triggers or something that you can fuse 2 or more regions together? I know theres not but theres a 3% chance im wrong.

get WEU and deal with regions there, they have funcitons that allow you to merge and create circular "regions"

Dude! or if its possible use the terrain height. but thats only if its divided into 2 distinct terrain heights. if youre 3 areas are all at the same clifflevel and the part dividing them is at a different terrain level that you cannot get to then you can use that. because even with the ability to make regions whatever shape you like you cant actually see it and that can make stuff hard.

u can use terrain level comparisons like the other guy said if that helps at all

also u don't need WEU, u can use 'in range of point' to create a circular region of action

I forgot i posted this, i was about to make a nother topic asking it...
I do use WEU but i cant figure out the Rect and region stuff. You said i can merge regions (known on WEU as Rects) how would I do that? iv been messing with the "add rect to region" trigger but thats not working.

i've never done this so i'm taking a guess but look in the adv. triggers

I found a flaw in the "unit enters region" event for WEU. It seems that the event doesnt read and Region variables.
It maybe possible to assume that the Region/Rect triggers in WEU may not work as wonderous as people think.

I never thought of looking under advanced... but I did and theres nothing about rect/regions there other than making areas buildable and non-buildable.

Edit: yup your right about that...
STILL HOW DO YOU MERGE RECTS?
