Ok. This is somewhat Warcraft 3 related. I want to start modeling higher poly models. Not necesarily for Warcraft, but just for my own pleasure and practice. So anyway, here's the ordeal: I have a couple reference pictures. ![]() ![]() Anyway. My question is: where do I start? Do I make some primitives and form them? Or just Start off with a huge block and shape it peice by peice... Thanks. -flames' |

don't use max for modeling if you don't have it www.wings3d.com its da one i use and since you're not doing it for wc3c anyways, just search on google "Wings 3D tut" though the one i used a long time ago just disappeared i recommend starting w/ a box and extruding, scaling, moving your way out. Personally, I think its a perfect tool |

Well, I tried using Wings3D, but I just couldnt get used to the UI. Maybe cause I was a modeler n00b then, but I may give it another shot. Gmax has the same basic principles though, right? Thanks. -flames' |

well it is kinda difficult to start off, so its best to make some primative with the basic outline of the model., so like make a sausage and then model from there. |
