New utility?

Is it possible to make a program that convert a minimap picture to a map, i mean, you make a picture with Photo Shop, or Paint Shop Pro, and it convert the picture into a map.

There is already such program exist...

W3M Utilities - have all kinds of functions including importing mini map image with a touch of a button, you rarely can find this program now, i don't think you can find it on www.wc3sear.ch, try searching for it on the web

Not very likely, since mini map only mark neutral buildings, gold mine, trees and some doodad/destructables.

The part that really made it impossible is cliff level, the mini map only mark where there are cliffs, but it don't mark if the cliff is going up or down.

It is the map i want to recreate, and a terrain with only land and sea are enough.

Look at the screen, i only need the line that determines the land and sea. (It is New Sorpigal of "Might & Magic VI : The Mandate of Heaven"

heh, is that picture come from a game other than wc3? if so...

There's is no easy to do this, the best way you can do this is grid it, meaning...

Use window's print or other picture editor to draw grid over the picture, and recreating them with WE's own grid.

It is possible but seems boring for a programmer to make, I think it would be better if you do that manually
