item ability not being working on unit

i want my hero to have the bash ability but it cannot show up in the units UI, so i took the item bash ability, unchecked item ability, but my hero just won't bash! idea's?

First of all an item version of an ability that has an icon will still have an icon in game. Next, you probably set the targets allowed or % chance fields wrong.

idk if it's an advanced item or if you even use WEU but if it is then you probably didn't set adv. items in the WEU enchancer

there is no targets allowed field and the percent is set to 100
and wtf are you talking about? bash item and the bash hero are completely different skills, they don't share an icon. period.
Also the bonus mod system uses the fact that item abilities do not have icons in the UI.
any one have a an idea why this isn't working?

Leave the ITEM ABILITY checked, then it should work.

Yes. Some item abilities don't have icons. But some still do. Bash is one of them that do. Don't inflict your inadequate understanding of the bonus mod system on everyone else.
