hey i didnt know where to post this so ill post here :god_help_us: , umm ok im a WANNABE mapmaker, im not even noobie yet :o so umm i might need some help, i play TFT ( Seifer23 ) but my tft disc broke so i play ROC right now ( Siefer23 ) ill be gettin a new disc in about a week tho ^_^ , so can anyone help me start off at map making, ive always wanted to do it...but was either to lazy, or couldnt find help....so ya I NEED HELP!!!!

Dont double post. Especially in the time frame of 1 hour. Next time edit your posts. That's what the edit button is there for. Some War3 modders have lives of their own and cant be on the forum 24/7.

Maybe its just me, but I find excessive use of smileys irritating. They distract the reader from reading what you want to say.


So you want to make maps. I do not advise immediately creating maps just yet. Start off by playing with the World Editor (WE). Make some custom units and custom abilities using the object editor. Try to design a fairly okay looking city. Go through the trigger editor and see what it has to offer. After you had enough experience fiddling around with the editor you need to decide what you want to make.

You can upload your own Avatar or make more posts to get "cooler" avatars.
Look in the stockmarket forum for a description of it(It's a subforum of site discussion)!
Yeahh there's an off-topic forum somewhere, just look on the forum list for it, I don't use it...

HEY SEIFER , GUESS WAT! I USE MY ROC CD TO PLAY TFT!!! perhaps u can do that too, try it ! . Anywayz, welcome to this websitez. n u want a nice avatar? yea like xGT4x said, upload it in ur profiles 'USER CP' section. add siggie if u want. And i hope u go pro in mapmaking ;) . U shuld probly check some unprotected maps n its triggers n how its done as a starter.. thats how i learnt anywayz. or just look for some tutorials in this website to learn more abt the World Editor.

You see, you cant just post how to make mpas (it's too long), you can start as i did, go to the object editor, read some spells, units, and stuff, if you dont understand something (you can ask us or..) you can just put it in a map and see what it does, then after you observe the object editor you can go on to the trigger editor, and so on...

about the editor, you do not NEED to know computer languages but if you intend to go into JASS programming it could help.
