Good Model Size

Okay.. I downloaded GMax since I wanna start getting into modeling, (this inspiration is being pushed by schoolwork I am to be doing in Maya this year as well) and while just creating a simple block model, I started to think how big I should make it. So is there anyway I can be sure I know Im not making it too big?.. Im looking to make this model no larger then a Grunt.

to be honest modelling in wc3 requires not big size and low poly models.

anims need to use a custom messure of frames per second = 960 frames per second

doodeds from 20 to 230 polies units from 300 to 700 poligons heroes 400 to 1100
buildings 200 to 1500

I'm not sure but I think he might mean its literal size. Aruix, it's a bit hard to know off the top of my head, but the distance unit used in models is the same unit used in maps. As a first approximation, a grunt is ~170 units tall, give or take a bit.

and you can scale models in game anyway, take the abom for instance, its scaled to 90% of its original size for in-gameness.

yes, but if he plans on using it as a special effect, or having attachments and special effects on it, it would be good to have the model at 100% as to avoid distortion of anything on it

not really WE also reduces particles and all those things, and if he wants to set an attachment he can reduce the unit side or using jassing scale the attachment. But anyway i don't think there be a limit of size in model (cept if you make so big that covers all the area the modelling program gives you.
