Ok here is what i got. I edited the Proudmoore model to have no beard and no hat using Oinkerwinkles Vertex Modifier. That was easy, but now the model has no animations, so i used Oinkerwinkle's animation program to give him the original proudmoore animations. So here are my questions: 1. When i look at the model in the viewer, the animation are there but dont work, why? 2. If i make him a custom portrait, how do i set it so that he uses the portrait? |

well thats complicated since i can't understand what you say, you are saying that you took out bear but them it lost every anim? really rare since it erases the vertexes from the model and all his compounds (normal, tvfaces and vertex groups) so is rare that that happen, them did you erase an animation? it can also be the problem, if you did them reset every anim from frame to frame like it was and set a name that be like null, vvfctff, something rare for that storm.dll don't reconice the anim during game and skipt. If you continue having probs or none of my descriptions doesn't match them re explane the prob with more detailed info and during the anim that doesn't show take a screemshot and attach it here KK. |

Ok here is a more detailed explanation of what i did. I edited the 2nd Geoset (the head) of the Proudmoore model. then saved the geoset as "Head". then i opened the original Proudmoore model again (with no changes made) and merged the 1st geoset (body and arms) with the "Head", then saved as "Head&Body". I then realized that when i did this, the model had no sword, so i opened the Proudmoore model again, opened the 3rd geoset (sword) saved it as "sword", then merged it with "Head&Body." I opened it in the Wc3 Viewer, and it had no animations. So i used Oinkerwinkles animation transfer, and gave him the Proudmoore animations. Then when i try the animations, he doesnt move. |

The problem is that you use 'Save Geoset'. That is meant for making the geosets that people merge on to other things. What would have been more useful is simply using 'Save', which will keep all the other geosets as well as the animation intact. Now that the animations are gone, the easiest way for you to get to what you wanted it to start over and not use Save Geoset. For your portrait problem, try reading this. |
