I'm currently in the middle of little personal project that involves converting all 5 races available in warcraft and removing hero use. My problem is that in the former Undead race, there are 6 units that can cannibalize (2 tier 1, 2 caster, 1 tier 3 melee, 1 tier 3 range) and 3 units of those 6 can burrow (1 tier 1, 1 tier 3 melee, 1 tier 3 range). I plan to add a healer unit, but its availability at tier 2 makes its unbalancing with cannibalize and burrow boosting their recovery time. I've thought of placing the healer at tier 3 but until that time, only those 6 units can heal themselves. And even at tier 3 the presence of a healer poses the same problem of super fast recovery. My current option is not to use the auto-cast heal and instead use a manual cast heal like a weak version Healing wave or a negative value Frost Nova. So, should I place the healer unit at tier 2 or 3? Note: The burrow and canibalize abilities are part of their racial specialties so I can't remove them without changing some details. |

maybe have someting with a long cast time or channel as it's spell? thus giving enemy units to either specifically target it or stun-stop the casting using interupting spells (ie storm bolt, warstomp, entagling roots, sleep) could be auto cast aswel... but the long cast time will hindle it... ---------------------------------------------- Another thing you could do is add another buff of a spell ontop of the healing??? say every time the healer heals a unit... they are cursed (by an invisible caster unit).... this will also benefit yet hinder the undead race... |
