Guest | Stonehammer Valley is about barbaric tribes fighting for power. Its a bnet 12 player map. Ok the game is pretty complex but its pretty simple while in game, a 10 year old should be able to play it fully. Selecting your hero: During the Map Initializtion, a dialog box will pop up. The choices are: Warrior, Hunter, Shaman, Chieftain. Hero Features: Skills are BOUGHT from merchants but can be trained in, some skills may require a head of a player. Heros are defeated by thier homes are destroyed. Chiefs are defeated by killin gthier capital fort. Warrior-Can wear any type of armor and heavy weapons but cannot use any ranged weapons or shamanic items. Spells aren't written yet but some concepts are- Fury: Increases attack speed by 50% but decrease damage by 75% for 10 seconds. (attack speed and attack damage increase with level) Weapon Familiarsation: Attack damage increased by 10 percent (attack damage increased by 5% per level) HUnter- Can wear all armor up to light plated leather and use ranged weapons including *throwing weapons* (more info following) Multi Shot: Hits two targets with 65 damage each(number of targets and damage increase with level) radius is LARGE ( to make it different from AE spells which are much smaller) Flaming Missle: Sets any kind of ranged weapon on fire damaging it with 75 damage and anything around it with 35 damage. Shaman: Can only wear cloth or unhardened hides, only use staves or shamanic items. Poison Cloud: SHoots out posious air in all directions infecting units with a DOT Geyser: Breaks open ground shooting high pressure water in every way damaging units Chief: Can wear only up to Studded Leather and medium weapons and throwing weapons. Aura of Giants: Increases the attack of melee units around it Aura of Courage: For each warrior around the cheiftain the aura increases its strenght by adding increased movement and attackspeed. Throwing weapons: These are bought items which are sold in bundles, best way to use these is the hotkeys corresponding to the slot (number pad) Axes and daggers are some of the items that can be thrown. Villages: There are 10+ villages in the game, chieftains can take a village and use it for thier purposes. There are two guilds in each village (the types vary from village to village) At the guilds you produce merchant units that sell the items. there are 3 levels of each type of weapon. EG: for weaponsmiths there are wooden, bronze, and iron. Villages also have the army enlistment buildings which produce your barbic armies. Also for food, a chieftain must make and mantain crops. Crops are no path buildings that really look like crops and must be watered or esle they die ( mana of the crop will keep track , If the crop reaches its max then it will die ) there will be different types of crops which give different amounts of food supply but cost according to thier food supply. Quests/Monsters[/items/u]: There will be numerous quests to do errands or slay mythical monsters. Rewards are unique items and xp. Monsters can attack towns randomly so heros must defend thier selected chieftain they choose which in turn will be rewarded by allowing them to buy from thier merchants. Items are large factor in the game. There will be planned 40+ items and 20+ crafted weapons. Crafting is a skill that can be bought trained in. (Not yet COMPLETELY planned yet) [u]Objectives:A cheiftain can ally up to 2 heros and heros can only ally one chieftain and one hero by the end of the game in order to win. But befoer that everyone is allied. Only one team wins then they win. Thats how it is so far, i hope its what you expected, it can be changed if needed. Some stuff ive completed: -Dialog triggers for hero selection -Hero specific weapons type condtions for wearing items -win/lose stuff -allying triggers -and about 15 weapons People i need: -a terrainer (if i dont find one i could do it as im not bad in terraining) -a skinner (i have some friends who can do it if no one steps up) -a spell editor ( units will be able to customize thier selection of spells according to thier class ) (triggers are done for buying spells) -a trigger ( i have some complicated stuff i will need help on, but im sure i can figure it out if no one helps) If all these spots are taken i will work on the unit editing by making all the items and units and help on whoever needs help, but im sure ill end up doing at least one of the other jobs. Im new to this site but ive done some work in the past. Mostly i just let delete through reformatting but i can try to find some un-finished terrains if you REALLY need. PM me to join the group or just leave a post. Thanks. |

Guest | Oh forgot to say some stuff about the items. Some of the abilties you can buy (they can be removed at anytime too) are gathering/mining abilties. For instance you can buy advanced wood chopping skill which allows you to recieve a higher quality wood which can be used to MAKE higher quality items. Also, if you make all the items for a full suit, it can be transmuted together opening up slots for your hero (keep in mind you can only have one sword at a time etc.) so most of the slots can be used to hold other things like rings and hides to be sold. Ill be adding what i do to the map as i go. Thanks. |

Ahhh... freshblood... ah I mean, eh... uh, welcome. Welcome to eh... wc3c forums. I hope you'll enjoy your stay. I am Fladian, right now, Moderator of this section and nice to meet you ^^ I'll be moving this thread a little bit, but nothing much. It will be in the Sub-forum out here. But to your topic... *cramps in* Damn stomach ache... The idea sounds good, I recall starting such a kind of map myself, but never really worked much on it. Though, since I doubt that option is on in the project of yours, to take over cities/villages. Claim one as your own. Also giving your units a small boost while you're within the village. But it seems I fell a bit off-topic ^^ Let's see.. Like I said, the idea is good, but the point remains that it will be hard to make. You might be new here but experienced in the World Editor, but still, even the best will have problems with this. You see Me... Mec... Mecro? MacDonalds, that most projects fail, because of several reasons. I'm happy to see that you are not in dire need of any help, but are you sure you have the determination to complete a projects as big as this? A lot of people don't got it... and I know dozens of people who say they got enough determination but give up after a month. Oh yeah, the Edit button is available here, so don't try to double post. Thank you. Like I said, I'll be moving this a bit. -Fladian |

Guest | Ive got a lot so far, custom icon (thanks to this site's files where i got a lot), about 28 items or so done and skins preexisting all over the web (never knew how many barbs/cavemen people have made) Terrain is iffy, i took a shot at it but got bored in like 5 minutes in which i made nothing really. Once i start a project it kills me to end it so chance of dropping this is like 5 percent but still in a couple of weeks i may get tired.. but who knows. Actually maybe you can help me with something? I just noticed my world editor is 1.0.0.1 and i think its the oldest version, but, i have the newest patch for warcraft on bnet. Really strange because Ive used WEU on my other comp but on this one i cant because the version must be at least with the 1.13 patch. |

"Hates guy" is that "guy" supposed to be me? Since, not many people seem to hate me here... Sorry... Mec... Mecthingy, I am not joining up for any project. You see, don't you hate it too when someone joins up with a project but half ways leave it? I do, and that's pretty much what will happen for me, I already announced I am *maybe* preparing my leave from the forum, so it would only be useless for me to join up. I usually stick around for some projects for ideas, stories and a backup terrainer if I like the project really much ;) (Lord of the Clans was the only one, right now) -Fladian |

Yeah i already sent you a email, check it out, but heres what i need. 224x224 size map, variety of scences EG: mountains, swamps, and forests. If you want you can try to take a crack at making the 12 villages that will be added. For more lucious green tree-hugging areas make normal villages but for deseret areas make the gnoll huts for they look nice and barbaric. Convert the gnoll huts into a doodad and stack them on top of each other for a cool look. You can pick the fort/castle skin/model. There is a cool catherdal skin that passes as a cool manor. Make it sorta big cuz im gonna make it so you can walk inside the actually building not teleport somewhere. Try to make the map look nice, once you get a nice chunk done PM it to me so i can check out your work. |

Nice to hear that you're hosted, but as long as you're here on wc3c, I must ask you not to double, triple or multipost. We have a nice 'edit' button which'll help you. |
