O.k., It has been A loooooong time since I've been here or tried my hand at cusom stuff. I've been looking over things here and either havent found my answer or I have and just dont understant what its telling me. 1st question. I downloaded the Thrallnowolf model and it doesnt have a portrait. How do I add Thralls regular portrait to it? and what programs, if any, do I need? 2nd question. Could you please point me in the direction of where the tutorials for adding skins to existing models are please :) I'm having a friend recolor the trolls and I'm sure I should still have the programs on my comp. I remember last time I tried I did the recolor myself and could see the new skin in the map editor but it didnt show up in the game. Thanks for all your help in advance |

To make Thrall's normal portrait to be the portrait to this guy, just take the Thrall_Portrait.mdx (or something like that, it must end in _Portrait and be in Thrall's directory, can be found in the .mpq), rename it so it would be like Thrallnowolf_Portrait.mdx (I said Thrallnowolf supposing that this is the mdx's name), import it into the map and import he's skin also. If it's using the same skin as Thrallnowolf, then you still must import the skin again and give it the coustum path of the portrait's. This should work. |

war3mapImported\Thrallnowolf.mdx war3mapImported\Thrallnowolf_Portrait.mdx war3mapImported\Thrallnowolf_Portrait.blp Is that how it should look? |

Don't put yobguls into the main wc3 folder. If you do that you have to reinstall. :P |

No, it's not. Instead of "war3mapImported\Thrallnowolf_Portrait.blp", you should have "Units\Orc\Thrall\Thrallnowolf_Portrait.blp". Just double click the file in the imported files list and check the "Custom path" checkbox and type in that path. The model's path dosen't matter. And another thing: have you changed the texture name or path in Thrallnowolf_Portrait.mdl? If you didn't, then don't rename the texture and type in the path that I just told you and if you did, type the path that you've written in the Thrallnowolf_Portrait.mdl file. |

I figured it out, the portrait file was bad. I extracted a new one with a different program and it works just fine being renamed. no skin needed :) Thanks for your help |
