Ultimate Rpg Map! I Need As Many People As I Can!

Hello!!! Im going to make the best damn rpg in the history of Warcraft but i cant do it alone! I currently have a few of my friends behind me (to be specific: my good friend vicky!, some Clan UMC members!, Platinum Productions!) but i need more if u have any talent at all (lets say ur good at making units say funny things) I NEED ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!! SO PLEASE HELP!!!

I will need emails because i will send you all the well written story line (mission makers and unit makers would want to read this especially)

To start with all the terrainers (I included) will start with the basic lay out well go in order of starting with me starting the terrain passing it to the next person and so one untill all of the terrainers are satisfied with our work!

Then the triggerers/mission makers will go in add as much crap as they can and then make sure its ok with them and the terrainers!

THEN we give it to any moddelers and skinners, they will come up with ideas for models and units etc. they will make sure theyre happy with theyre work then show it to the triggerers and the terrainers.

Spells: we dont need indivisuall spell makers we can all add our own little spell for us to use

then well all look at it fix any bugs and alpha test it (im sure that some of you will have clans that will want to beta it cause i do!)

Finally we will fix change everything the beta testers tell us then we FRIGIN CELEBRATE!

This should take a year probubly but think of the satisfaction!!!

ULTIMATE RPG!!!


Ok here's the story: With the last war between the two gigantic races the demons witch emerged from they're tomb and the Humans and they're allies battled on the plains of the dead forest Dreamwood fought for they're lives the most powerfull mage of the Elves made a awfull mistake, he tried to summon the slayed demons power into the his allies. But with the power so did the hatred for everything The paladins of the humans were horribly transformed into a demon/human creature that dawned on the wings of the cursed dread lords, they after became known as the Dark Palidins slaying anything that believes in what they used to fight for. The weaker soldiers with no magical powers were completely consumed by evil and died or burst into flames still living they now wander the world with burning steps every where they go. The elves the most advanced race were corrupted beyond belief they left theyre physical forms and became wandering spirits. Still powerfull they rarely take theyre physical form because the darkness consumes them more when theyre in physical form. The dwarfs sufferd the worse becoming infused with the fel beasts of the demons they became a centaur type creatures. They still have theyre humanity but they refuse to help any elves at all due to theyre excrutiating pain. With that all the lower races were either slaughtered or died with the power flowing through them.

With the demons confused with the sudden victory the retreated to figure out what happened, the intelligent leader of the demons the fallen god whos name will not be spoken chose the races of the demons (dread lords, fel beasts, dragon masters) and gave them all a little bit of his power. The dread lords got the power of flight and teleporting now able to use theyre wings they became the most feared race of the skies, with the fel beasts they gained intelligence killing theyre trainers they chose a leader and became the most powerfull melee ground units of the demons, the dragon masters which were the most powerfull race gained the power of agility able to go so fast to turn invisible they began to use theyre magical powers to create invisible cities witch to the other races were only reachable if they had a special gem of seeing.

With the races now more powerfull they soon regrouped (although the dwarfs will only work with the humans) found a way to make sure that the demons couldn't attack them for 5 more generations of warriors.

Five generations have passed (about 10 000 years) and the magical barrier has broken due to the new generations un aware of this they are just starting to find out theyre powers….


HEROS THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED AT ALL COSTS:

Dark Paliden: just put some dread lord wings on them

Elf: only thing that needs to be put is theyre in non physical form constantly unless they use a spell wich allows them out of the non physical form for a short period of time

Dwarf: may be harder to make for modelers is to put a dwarf top half with fel beast body (no head obviously)

Dread lords: same as the regular dread lord but needs flight ability (everyone can determine how theyre gonna make that)

Fel beast: bigger and more intelligent

Dragon master: think of the dragon spawn units but only they use firey speed to attack


MISSIONS THAT NEED TO BE INCLUDED AT ALL COSTS:

Thers only a few but still:

Explore the demons side vice versa for the demons

Other than that one the missions makers can determine what they think is best.

TERRAIN INFO:

Two continents divided by a large ocean but on the demons side it's a hot lava lake

Easy to imagine

This RPG sounds promising. It also has an interesting storyline.

you havent listed any of the features thats going to make this open rpg better, the story sucks sorry, but its horrible, it read the 1st paragraph, got tired, and skimmed the rest, and it got worse. Your idea on how many people u need is insane, you will have more trouble with making sure each member is doing something or they have the updated version, than the trouble u will have with making the map. I dont see anything ultimate about this.

And i wouldnt criticize if i wasnt making my own with tons of extra features and complexity, all of which im doing myself.

Wow... so is that all the former hgood guys vs. bad guys, or are all the ba guys just in a free for all? I think it's teh Good vs. bad, but that makes no sence, because Corrupted means to be made evil. You should just say they were deforemed or something.

btw Blitzkreige means Lightning war in German.

well as i see no one can understand, and to answer the whole sides question: this aint a battle of good and evil as u pointed out as corrupted. also i didnt want my story to be made out of warcraft just somewhat based on it

also one more thing all you do in it is chose ur hero and u go on the side of that race (in other words it dont have to be even)

well we could have skipped this whole part and went straight to the point! thats probubly the smartest things ive ever seen someone post although i admit i am stubborn and i do swear alot on BNet at other clans. i would also like to apologize for teh no life comment from what uve typed i was wrong im sorry. also i was a little excited and i was rushing thru the posts i posted earlier.

About time I posted, right? Sorry, I haven't seen this post even though I moderate this part as well. What Nath said about the re-posting part, forget it, I'll move this. But I have been known to talk in every thread here in the Team Gathering forum and I am not planning of making any exception ;) Let's see... where to start... oh, and before anything else, I've read the thread, every word, every mistake, everything.

My number one conclusion - especially for the first amount of posts - was 'arrogance', now don't understand me wrong, I don't really mind someone being arrogant, I got my fair shares as well, but by all means, arrogance here, in this forum, will only end up with problems. I'm not sure how different it will be in other parts, but here is it critical, and you saw what 'kind' of answers you could get. I don't even dare to dream what would have happened if people like eh... Oda, Void or even Jester visit this thread.

But even though nath. apologized for thinking you're arrogant, I am not picking back my words and remain to my previous conclusion. Like dear Anus (uhhum, Disabledjew) said, the story has no real quality that makes *any* of us sit up. Not to mention myself, being a writer (maybe I should my carreer in it) myself. But like 'Nath' said, "Being it the greatest map" shows extreme arrogance and a lot of people will automaticly dislike you for it. I for one, don't really mind, but this is the Team Gathering forum. Though I do not remember your name (duh, I forget names) I can recall your avatar and saw you stick around here and there. So I know a bit who you are. With my last point for this part, work on your grammar. Please.

To the story... uhhum...
The story is... in one, word, low-quality. I am absolutely not fond on it, I've saw a lot worse then this, but I've seen a lot better then this as well. I praise you for detailing it out far enough to this, a lot of people tend to ignore details. But the fact remains that it is no good story. No real features has been introduced either. I can live with that... lot of people do that.

But King, Excitement and Rushing are 2 things that you shouldn't have making a thread out here. Always try to remain your calm and take your time. Otherwise it would be... or rather, it would probably come out bad. Just like now.

But by all means, if I remember you right - I could be mistaking - you do not have any team-experience, true, I do not posses much of my own :P But a lot of people asked me before if I wanted to start a map with them, from all times, I only accepted 2 of them, and by all means, I am still working on it, not to mention that 1 of them is my very first project I started out with when I joined the forum, but that is not the point.

Nath. is right by saying "you're stubborn" though I rather either use the words "persistent" or "determined", 'stubborn' sounds a tad harsh in some ways. Right now, I cannot say you are either, Stubborn, Persistent or Determined, you are willing to make the map at any cost and that is good, but I have seen more people then I can remember who felt like that but canceled their idea after several days. True, I know a handful of people who determined enough to create the map whatever the cost, I am one of them, though I nowadays lack the abilities to create a 'real' quality map (I forgot most triggers, I'm not 'that' a good terrainer I used to be, I can icon a bit and stuff, but nothing particular that makes me shine... anymore) though I stick with most stories, but my point remains, I have been working for 2 years on the same project. The story is now detailed enough to answer every question, even the lenght of the toenail of the main character, at a matter of a saying of course. But hey, that's all quite normal after 2 years ;) The idea occured to me before WCIII existed though. But again, that is not the point and I fell off-topic again, I wonder if people think I'm an old man :P

But Nath. said no one really likes to read long posts, so I'll stick with this, both because of the fact I just got home from school (or college, I'm just still used to say "school", but I graduated from "school" a year ago) and I'm pretty tired. Usually I rather stick to a lot bigger posts then this, but right now I got more important business to attend to. Speaking of important business, I'm starving.

well i do apologize this is the first time ive tried to find people to help me with my map and i do admit it was totally noobish, but also (just lemme say it) Blitzkreige said that it sounded promising with a interesting story line, and i did get quite angry when (first impressions mean everything dont forget) nath started posting stupid things instead of just getting to the point and trying to help me out.

also u can close this thread im going to re think a few things with my team

Well, I am absolutely not familiar with the name of Bl.. Bl... eh... *looks at your post to find out his name* Right, Blit... Bli... eh... forget it. Differently put, I'm not familiar with the name of Billy, nor his actions. I know I'm bad with names - and getting worser each day - but I usually remember a bit of them, like you as example. But by all means, I do not have the faith to see him having too much knowledge of it ;) I stick to this section for quite some time and develop stories on my own as well (poems too) and if you look right, the most people are not fond on the story.

Threads do not neccessarily have to be closed just because you have to rethink somethings. I'll leave it open, post if you wish, if not then just let it die. Your choice.
Even though I am not fond on the story, if there's any help you need with the story, I'm always available, until I leave the forum. My signature stays updated for when I leave.
