in WE there are 5 pallets: terrain doodads unit reigions camera terraining is useing the doodads and terrain palet, so first things first. experiment with all the different tools in the terrain pallet. itll become quickly clear what people are refering to when they mention variouse tools. next step is sky fog and weather. the start and end values of the fog determin how thick it is. the further to two value are appart, the thinner the fog. you can also set custom coulers for fog. this found under scenario>map options in the toolbar at top. weather effects are alo here next is sky and lighting, this is located under the scenario>map preferances. play with the skys and time of day to get different effect, next is doodads, place them and see what matches the terrain you want. more detailed info about doodads is i the tips of the trade thread. its a lot to read, but everyhting youll need to know is there alsmot fogot, the most useful hotkeys. v. game view settings f. turn fog on/off w. turn water on/off e. turn weather on/off k. turn sky on/off |
