A whole new map concept is in the making, HA:XOR or Hacking Academy: eXhile Of Renegades. A position greatly needed is modeler: Things you must be able to do: 1) Extract models from the Wc3 gluescreens, fix them up and animate them. Then use the textures provided (to save filesize + look kickass) 2) Create very simple doodad models using Wc3 textures. Well here is a brief synopsis of the map concept: You are MMORPG players, you begin to develop adept hacking skills. You hack your characters and outduel every legit player. However, you are found out and banished to a forsaken realm. On this realm, you will battle for supremacy, to find out who is the ultimate duelist.... There will be a large database of items to choose from and players to pick. The theme will be involved in most of the abilities (computers) such as entering the system itself (becoming invisible to all who are not inside the system) The abilities will be mostly trigger enhanced, such as leaping etc. All spells will be extremely dynamic to give the effect of people manipulating the game. You will battle while the world around you crumbles. Effects such as terrain deformations and a new idea of mine (Creating a custom model that looks like a cliff/plateau and using terrain textures on it with a death animation (crumbling). Creates awesome effect when players are thrown though cliffs, trees etc.) will be used to give that effect. Not just the battles will be amazing, the map will also feature WOW-like terrain. Just to show that this project is going somewhere, here are a few screenshots of one of the areas. If you are interested, post in this thread with your contact details (MSN, or AOL) Mine are [email protected] and kleptiksoul. |

Can't you all get it? THIS IS NOT A STAFF HIREING FORUM! MOVED. |

Trying to give me more work Rightfield? :P Rightfield, is there a FAQ or anything similar in that forum that says "not to hire staff here" or so? Because, there needs to be something that MUST get their attention. Soul, the idea is fine, nothing too great, nothing too special, go all ahead ^^ Post next time in the right forum though, otherwise you're giving me less work :P -Fladian |

Well, I believe that the Modeling Forum was the right one, I wouldn't have posted it their otherwise. IMO, most modelers rarely leave their forum, and to attract their attention, I posted there. |

Maybe so, but it is not right to post in the wrong forum. Quite many people may be annoyed by it - look at Rightfield as example - or even get angry because of it. |

Thanks for the comments guys... Well, to show that im keen to get this underway (while I may be slightly lazy ;) ), here are some WIP screens of thunderbluff (one of the many battlefields). This is as far as thunderbluff will go right now, until Gaiascape Barrens pack is released and I can add new doodads. I may not be able to create the most dynamic camera shots ever, but the terrain will hopefully make up for it. C&C please... |

I changed the time of day for the thunderbluff screenshots... and in my opinion, it is now a lot better ^_^ . I will begin terraining an orcish fort in a desert area when Gaiascape Barrens is released (gotta love those models ;) ) and when a modeller applies and creates a few doodads that are needed, I'll terrain the last quarter: a human castle. |
