thx b, fire warriors are yellow/orange but mine are the complete opposite grey and maroon with spots of black to look dirty, yes, good evil composition vector layers are so fun to play with, especially since they correct your mistake lol |

Boy, I wish I had the cash to try Warhammer . . . but, as the oldest of five kids, and now in college . . . yeah, very little chance. The Tau look like real fun, though. The shoulders appear to be slightly on different levels right now, and I'd say the cloth is a little too wrinkled (gives the impression of very boney arms) Other than that (and your said problems) I'd just say it needs to be a little more smooth - but why would anyone with a paint program need a pencil artist to tell him that! (As in, you probably already know) The coloration are a surprise, but actually work quite well, I think. So . . . are your Tau evil? |

Ha, I can sympathize with you there, Marco Polaris. Let's just say that oriental noodles are your friend (Ichiban, Kimchi, Ramen, etc.) My brother-in-law has a bunch of Warhammer stuff (it's not the 40K stuff though; it's the fantasy world) and I've read the rulebook and everything, so I play it with him every now and then. Anyways, that's pretty neat for a vector drawing. When it first registered in my mind, I though I was looking at raster art because of the sketchiness aspect, but it is indeed vector. Nice use of shapes to express tone. I'm no fan of the white bg, but the generally dark colors you have can make it work. You'd be surprised how our perception of the colors on there can change if you filled the bg with a different color, such as grey or black. If you had something darker, you could experiment with atmospheric lighting, something that is generally more difficult to pull off on white backgrounds. Why not take it one step further and try to animate him? It might provide a nice afternoon's deviation. |

hmmm... for grey and green... it seems more military than evil. i think red and grey looks evil but i think that's a bit over used.... yellow and grey looks menacing. like a bee i don't know but grey and green seems more military than evil... orange and grey? i think other people have pointed out the other stuff........ |

thats red and black thats overused, i just changed the hint so the color scheme would be recognizable yet different i was actually thinking of doing warcraft 3's "Chaos" colors of green and black |
