Requesting WoW Models for TFT

I request for all public use, warcraft models from WoW.. Examples are the Troll houses or the Giant Tauren Totem Poles with the spinning birds atop them. Other examples are Female models of orcs, trolls, or even humans and dwarfs, as well as gnomes. Other ideas for those who love modelling are mounts- Troll warrior on a raptor, or perhaps a dwarf hero on a battle ram. So many awesome ideas, and I would do them if I could figure these things out, but think of all the great WoW inspired maps that could spawn from just a few cool models. We've all played WoW a bit by now, so we all know what the skins look like, what the variety of creeps and buildings are, let's bring WoW to TFT! And thanks to all you artists out there!

I just looked back at my wife playing WoW and thought of another thing- the doodads, like how the trees in the Barrens look so different in WoW as compared to WC3. So doodads of trees and the like are an idea as well.

Taking models from WOW is, at this point, ILLEGAL! Unless you want people to get in BIG trouble, you should take this request back.

He doesn't need to take it back. I doubt anyone is actualy going to waste the time and effort required to extract WoW mdx2s and convert them to WC3 mdx.

Not to mention that he hasn't said what he's looking for. If I were to make a topic like this, I would plainly state that "I want the Basilisk". He just "Get the female models, or maybe the ridden models, or maybe the doodads, or maybe this, or maybe that...". No certanty in his post. Anyone with WoW and the ability to rip the models isn't going to notice this. Maybe they'd do it if it was one CLEAR model, but this is a bunch of mixed-up nonsense

dont even try. ive seen numerous people getting flamed, warned, and bashed for doing this (i.e. tauren riding the WoW wyvern. i forget who it was).

just dont. if you need a specific model, just request it, or teahc yourself how to model. ripping models is IMO the worst way to put em in your map.

like mecheon said, ask for specific models. not just "wow models"

Ok, since I change my post and it got locked I'll say it back on this one. I am not saying for you guys to rip models from WoW, I am telling you guys to MAKE models. Come on, do you need me to list every single possible model from WoW you guys could create? Are there no artists here who just love to model and want to kill time till WoW is out? You could make doodads, to races, to all kinds of things, and if flamesforzuljin will teach me how to model, I'd love to learn one on one. Then I could make WoW, locations, races, genders playable in WC3.

No offense intended, but what makes you think anyone here is going to spend hours modeling just like that. Most modelers models for Wc3 projects, not just like that. There are many other ways to kill time. And anyways, what is it going to be for? What are you going to do with them? Whats the benefit for the poor modeler who'll spend hours working on those models?

Thanks Freakazoid! And in answer to your question, Satanas, I can only imagine the thought of knowing that their models will be used and shared among Warcraft fans everywhere? That seems like an honour to me, I would crank out one a day if I knew how, so that ungrateful folks like you, Satanas, as well as warcraft fans could have fun making WoW campaigns in WC3.
