Why is My Map So Laggy?

title... this is my new AoS map and i have been making maps for a long time and none of acted like this.

when playing in single player or b.net or w/e the games is always moving really slowly, the frames per second (FPS) acts like it is cust in half the entire game

it is really annoying... i will post the map, please see if you can figure out what causes the game to go so slowly, i dont have any .01 second loops or anything
map is unprotected so go ahead and look at the triggers.

I am willing to put money on the fact that it is because you have sound in it.
Also the amount of neutral units (chickens etc.) could have some drawbacks on performance..

I experienced no lag, but I have a fast computer so I am not 100% sure by that..

Upon openning the trigger editor, I see that you have lots of "If and or" statements there... Which lead to looping (from my personal experience) of random things in the map..

A side note, to reduce map size, you could also remove your comments when you finally release it, and keep them in for your own testing purposes... :( :\

You also have some "Wait 3 second" timers that could be done away with..
There are some events that check "When X game time has elapsed" which is a more logical method of accomplishing what you are trying to do (spawning creeps)

Does it lag all the time, or only after a amount of time? If it lags more the longer you play then you may be leaking locations. If it lags all the time then it might be something else.

the game constantly is slow, btw i like all those ideas you got, i dont think it is sound, i always try to include custom music in my maps! makes them much more fun to play. when you say sound, you mean custom music? or like dialouge sound, like when the game starts the 2 heroes use sound dialouge

Yea, if you have 3 second count-down timers, those you can get rid of. With that kind of fps no one will see them anyway ^_^.

I can't open the map right now because I have like 2 pages worth of threads to check, but I'd suggest to be sure to get rid of memory leaks, theres a tut somewhere, and to try to simplify any triggers that will be run alot.

i was able to reduce 95% of the slow game, YAY! ^_^

the main thing that caused the lag was all the critters and put on the map, and the 2 volcano doodads in the corners! if i have any other problems i'll give you all a call again
