Importing Custom units from another Map.

I'm sure this has been answered before. I have been looking for 30 minites to find the answer.

I have one map and want to Import the complete list of custom units from that map to a new map I'm working on.

I know how to do it one at a time but that would take forever.

How can I Import the complete list?

When I right click on the custom Units folder the part that says "Copy" is unuseable.

If you can point me in the directions of where this answer is that would be great or just tell me if it's that easy.

Thanks for your Help in advance

Stealing Makes Baby Jesus Cry.
Dont copy things, although if ur not, good 4 u!

To get a complete list is a thing ive never really worked out how to do... the way i did it was to open 2 maps and copy one, go to window and my other map, paste, window, copy, window, paste etc.....

Might take a wile but i know no better way...

I have designed the map.
-I have written the triggers
--and I have created many new units

However, I do what to use the custom units from some elses map.

Of course if this is a sin I could make a complete set of custom units myself.

I agree stealing everything from one map and placing your name on it is wrong.

However, I don't think that it is wrong to use parts of what someone else has done.

I have also given the original created credit for everything that I have used from his map. The original creators name is all over the quest. load screen and instructions.

You should probably still ask the guy first if you can (if he frequents wc3campaigns, for instance).

Otherwise, try importing both maps into a campaign and copying everything to custom campaign units, then everything into the new one. Still time consuming, but it means you won't have to open/close the old map one time for each unit, so in a big map this can save you yonks.

Im_Uber.
In the object editor...
File/Export all object data (unit data ability data etc.)
Only bad thing is it overwrites any object editor data you already have.

Hey i don't think you should steal stuff from other maps but there is a way go to the downloads section and download winmpq. Then run the program and once the program has started hit open then see were it says "files of type" set that to all files. Open the file select all the objects then right click and hit extract, extract to the folderyou want then go into the folder and enter another folder called war 3 map Imported. And please do not use this to steal from other maps
