Black Passage: The Garden Current DL is 0.96g UPDATE: Most stuff should be fixed, I got the weapon system in, it's kind of a cross between the old weapon system and the way the armor works. Buy weapons in town, and you can upgrade by finding Runes. The final weapon isn't buyable, have to find it. I'll post a long description of the map later this week sometime, it has a lot of stuff I think(and others) is very cool for an adventure/rpg map. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I changed the way armor is upgraded, I think it's a major improvement... Players: 1 to 4, auto adjusts This is an original story developed by me, it's not based on any current popular or not games. This is a COOP RPG, and not an open RPG. I'd call it more of a Diablo adventure, as the map is somewhat linear. It's fun though, a lot of people on the realms have loved it so far, and I'd like to hear some more feedback. It should be a great map.But the game couldn't go on after the nercomancer's ghost told u to kill the leader of the bandit.The dialog couldn't end.This seems to be a quite big bug and can be easily found.Fix it ASAP plz or leave it ruin the beta test. ![]() |

Doh, I'll upload a new copy tonight. PLease type in "-cinematics" when the game starts to disable them all.... once your in the town go ahead and type it in again to turn them back on... I'll upload a new version to fix this soonish, and this weekend i'll have a bunch of major changes to try out. |

Yes, I just uploaded a fixed version that should take care of the cinematic problem with the ghost. IF you have any other problems with cinematics, just type -cinematics and it will toggle them off or on... Oh and, this 0.96 is going to be about some item balance and better difficulty testing. I need to know what parts were too easy and which were too hard. The start is going to be easy, but right after murlocs and especially by the time you have your subclass it will get more challenging for sure, when i'm done with it anyway. Armor upgrades work like this: You pick a class, and armor will drop from monsters as you move along. If you picked a Warrior main class, you can only use the Warrior armor that drops along the way, and the same for all other classes. Armor STACKS, you only have 1 armor in your inventory but it gets better and better the more items you get, from "Warrior's Boots" all the way to "Warrior's Greaves and Warrior's Cuirass". |

The armour system is cool.I have just tried the mage with necromancer subjob.With the help of starting town's trooper the bandits are a piece of cake.But I feel that solo the whole bandit camp is impossile.The creeps respawn way too fast.Because the mage's ice spell is bugged it's very hard for the mage to kill the bandit leader herself. The revive stone seems bugged.You can't active other stones besides the one in the town.And I found another bug which is after u fought the three void walkers and destroyed the second egg the door closed permantly.This means if u die after this part u can't go on the game for u are respawn in the town which is on the other side of the door. I haven't try melee hero .But I can image that they will have a hard time because the town is very far away and the fast respawn creeps will block ur way ....thus u can't get supplies.I used the necromancer who has a life & mana drain spell so potion isn't a problem.But run out of potion usually means death to melee guys. Sorry for my english..maybe hard for u to read. |

Thanks a lot for the reply, i'm going to address all the stuff you mentioned today, I finally have a lot of time this weekend to work on it Expect the next release to fix ALL the stuff you mentioned, plus i'm going to overhaul the weapons to be just like the armor and tweak the difficulty a lot, basically a lot of it is going to get a lot harder while some spots will be tweaked. You mentioned that you had a hard time till you got your subclass, once i've fixed the ice spell's damage(its harder than you might think cause of my spell resist system), it will work itself out to be normal. I do all damage through triggers so it's not as simple as altering stuff in the Object editor. Here's a few commands people might find useful till the next release, only usable by player 1: Unpause - unpauses all units Unstuck - moves all other heroes to Player 1's Hero - i use this a lot when people die... due to lack of no real ressurection system(yet) Revive all - revives all heroes(if dead) and puts them in town |

I uploaded the final version of 0.96(g) to my website. Lots of fixed stuff and the new armor/weapon system is in. This week i'll work on finishing the final encounters for it, and then going back everything and making sure everything is working good/looking good. |

I have just used the berserker with blademaster based subclass.It's sad to see my hero keep dying form these enemy since I entered the upper forest.The only class can solo must be the worrier with paladin subclass.High armor and the harden skin make him invincible. I also found the death penalty did not actually apply.It said u would lose 10% of ur gold in fact u didn't lose anything but 5 seconds. Some spell like the judgement does not cosume mana and enter cooldown when u use it againist enemy sometime. I don't have the clue to continue the game when I got the magic bridge which keep collapsing .Should u make this part more clear? |
