Does the FPS Mod support ranged units. Like for example, could you make it so there was a guy with a gun shooting stuff with limited ammunition?

It was origanlly designed to be guys running around with machineguns and stuff blasting each other. The only FPS thing I can think of that doesn't have shooting is the blade master mod.

Like said... yah it was meant to be made for guys to run around and shoot each other. What's available on the SDK when you download it is movement, mouse control, and a handy firing trigger that is ranged (...). The other additional stuff like limited ammo isn't too hard to add in.

Night of the Living Dead has a nice reloading and ammo system for this fps mod.

The FPS Mod ammo and reloading system is sorta good enough, the only notable difference being that there are limited number of clips in NOLD.

The reloading system refers to the one I put in actually :D. And I guess it sort of works on a completely different system so the NOLD system probably won't work.

I see it works great, just wondering if it is possible to create a game like this for b.net, that is without any need for using that program...
If i'm wrong correct me. I just think this could be a good kind of Unreal Tournament thing. I've never tried making a game into FPS and hosing it on b.net....

On actual bnet itself, that wouldn't be possible because even if you could somehow find a way to not use a 3rd party program to do mouse movement, the amount of periodic triggers would cause quite a bit of lag.

The FPS Mod people wanted to use multiplayer by using direct connection via the 3rd party program so it wouldn't have to pass through bnet and then multiplayer would work, but I'm guessing they couldn't do it, and the high expectations were unable to be met so it sorta got terminated when incomplete.

So what if everyone got the FPS mod and went into same game and the map had all the triggers set for all the players to have thier camrea views and etc... would it be able to do that?

Well you can't run the FPSMod on bnet (I heard) because the 3rd party program which controls the controls isn't allowed on bnet (since it's a 3rd party program).

If you forego the 3rd party program, then it might be possible but you can't do things like mouse controlling and such sensitive keyboard detection.

I also heard if you tried to run it on Battle.net it will think you are modifying your Frozen Throne and think you are hacking. Will your cd key get banned or muted if you tried?

I haven't tried but I have heard reports of people being suspended for using non-cheating 3rd party programs (keycraft and stuff).
