Slinger - any gun-sketching advice?

Okay, working on this fellow (one of Rictus' most trusted lieutenants):

Zoom (requires log in)

The problem? I'm not the expert gunmaster, and I'm too lazy to look this stuff up. Anyone have advice on drawing random generic automatics?

Crits & comments elsewhere on the pic are fine, as well (I already know the proportions on the left arm are messed up, thank you).

Thanks. I'll look into it when I'm not studying, like I am right now.

Nice work Marco... and yeah... Death is the one to go to when you need advice on drawing guns...

Lizards don't have hair... they'd have feathers instead...

Ah, but this guy used to be human, just like Rictus . . . plus, I enjoy how unusual it is to have hair and other facial feature on reptiles.

Still no time to check that tutorial, though - class beckons. *sigh*

Nice work dude, only one problem I see is the ribcage is a little too bent over, but overall it is cool.
Notice my nickname by the way .

foreshortening looks good, shading is nice etc. etc.

the only thing that REALLY bothers me about it is that silly little ear thingie

actually, it can do harm if you learn how to twirl a pistol, but then the butt (pistol whip) hurts more then a slash...
