How to make Units Lay Down?

Iam sure this is a stupid post but how do you make a unit lay down? like i have seen in some maps..

with most of them just play there death animation

I use
Animation- play (laying unit)'s Death Decay animation.
Animation- Change (laying unit)'s animation speed to 0.00%.

My way makes it so there isn't any blood next to the unit, so he is sleeping or resting, not dead.
