Guest | Hi, I"m am making a map in which I want to entirely ditch the idea of the Altar for summoning Heros. I go into the Object's manager in the editor and i can't seemt to find where it's required that an Altar be built in order to make a hero. I wanted to revive hero's at the main hall.. which i have managed to do.. But the initial-training for the first time always seems to require an altar be built.. and i think reviving requires it too. I want reviving a hero to have the requirement of nothing in the techtree .. a town hall at the most. since they will be summoned from there instead. Also, i have one more question; I have a tavern in my map i was experimenting with, and i have put half of the basic hero's in the game in it to be bought. However when i do this, and try it out, Most of the hero's have 3's on them and let me buy multiples of same hero. I also wanted those regular heros to have a cooldown to hire like a regular neutral hero such as dark rangers, tinkers, ect. But it lets me buy a paladin instantly without a cooldown in first few minutes of gameplay. Probably my biggest concern is that i do not want the hiring of more of the same hero type and i also do not want more than 3 hero's to be chosen. any help appreciated. Thank you. |

Change these parameters in the heroes' data themselves. |

Guest | i got it! didn't think i'd fix it for some reason. i took anothr look and i noticed what i needed to change. i managed to fix everything i talked about. for some reason i just didn't see what i wanted before when i first looked. so i noticed there were some fields that had different values in the neutral heros and i just tried to make them all the same. it fixed everything. thanks, uh one more question. i noticed that sometimes when i start this map with more than one other computer player, my starting view is in one of the 10 possible starting posisition's that isn't equal to mine.. odd i have player positions fixed so that everyone starts at same place every time. and i have player starting poins at each mine.. 10 of them. if i choose to just verse 1 computer, my starting view is always above my proper starting position. but any number of computer opponents more than 1 and it sometimes is in the right place and more often than not my view is above one of the enemies' posistions. i dont get it.. i dont have any triggers yet. just basic unit placements. what could be causing this? |

You'll want a couple triggers on Map Init, too. Player - Limit Training Of Unit-Type Player - Limit Training Of Heroes |

you should also check the stuff in "Gameplay Constants" you find it under the Advanced menu... ((sixth to the right of "File") File, Edit, View, Layer, Scenario, Tools, and... Baam! Advanced!) :god_help_us: |
