tile variation is good, height variation isnt so good. if youre going to have such a large open area (on the right) then id suggest haveing it as plane snow with small patches of dirt. then use raise and lower to add height variation. the outpost its self looks good, but the igloos look out of place with the soldiors, perhaps having some tuskar captured in a holding cell to make it look more like the troops haver just taken over a village, also, more environmental doodads could be used, as its so cold, mostly rocks, i wouldnt expect to see many p[lants growing there |

Well there seems to be something wrong with my computer that has this map on it and I can't even get on the computer. So, it might be some time before I can work on the map. |

Well, I added some height variation and some Tuskarr captives. The reason that there are no trees is that the village/outpost is very far to the north, where there are no trees. If you think there should be trees, pretend there are some off to the side. |

might want to add a lil something on the top left....or maybe a lil hight.....a tower maybe....or another camp -Murcielago) |

looks good, but i still think you could do with more snow than ice in the top left and top right areas, also, adding thicker fog would increase the perspective and make the distant snow planes look farther away., just another thought. you could try stacking two layers of fences on top of each other to make the holding cell for the tuskar. aslo, id suggest having more junk lying around, such as creats and barrels, it makes it look more like soldiors have taken over as they arnt the tidyest of people |

Yeah, you need more junk around, as said Gitlich. Also it would be good, if you put there some trees. And where is a bridge to that tower? |

well imo that human tower ruins the feeling that the village has just been taken over by the soldiers... i mean they were there long enuff to build that tower. another thing bugging me is the hay cart. i wouldn't expect to see hay and igloos anywhere near each other |
| 10-06-2004, 08:21 PM | #12 |
Well, it was originally supposed to be an outpost and the hay was for their horses. I guess I forgot to take them out when I changed the story to that the humans took over the village. About the towers, now that I think about it, I'm not exactly sure why they are there. They seemed okay at first, but I'm not sure anymore. EDIT: Took out the towers and the hay, added some more junk piles and whatnot, added some more doodads. |
