Very unique map idea/project - Team/Input requested

'elo, I thought that this might be the correct forum to post in as I not only have ideas but I'd like to get together a group of people willing to help (or heck just feedback in general).

My idea is making a RPG that allows for full customization of the character involved. For instance, you could use a bow, sword, hammer, axe, knife, katar, fist, staff, ect.. as a weapon and each one would have its own skill level. In addition, I'd like to have changable armor that would affect the character in game. This might sound quite impossible or very model heavy which is partially true. However, I think I know a way to cut down a ton on the models (which I'll explain if anyone gathers interest).

I was thinking of having 5 races.. Human, Elven, Goblin, Undead, and Orc. Each one would need a generic model with animations for each weapon type.

As for the RPG, I was thinking that you would be a spirit sent to this world to guide another in its life. So to represent that I was thinking of creating a good npc interaction system and having the player not actually controlling the unit but rather controlling a dummy unit that is invisable and centered on the unit that way the unit's color stays npc like and won't give away the fact that it's another player. I was thinking that a shrunk, invis, untargetable wisp that you control would follow the unit as well as an indication of you guiding the unit. Another player could then have a gem of true seeing (or like item) that lets them see this spirit and allows them to tell a player from standard NPCs. I was thinking that two player units would work exactly like a player to NPC as far as interaction goes. Giving people a good atmosphere to roleplay in as well as just run around and kill stuff if they wish.

If any of this sounds interesting, please post here as I'd really enjoy input and conversation about my idea.

Thanks.
