Geomerging questions

1. How do i geomerge Highelf Swordman's Shield to my model?
2. How do i attach the shield so that it is attached to the right hand?
3. How do i take away "walk defend, attack defend" animation?
4. Can anyone explain more clearly what "Get visibility from" do?
5. And how do i insert in "attack - 1, attack - 2" in "the Animation to transfer"?
6. How do i insert cryptfiend "walk animation, death animation" and skeletonarcher's "attackanimation" in one single geomerged model?

Help is appreciated!

cmon people it doesnt matter how noob you are, check the tutorial section and the forums.

It doesn't say what i want. And it also doens't say how to mix up animations.
U could CnP the answers here if i didn't see it. But don't spam here.
Anyway, thx for telling what i have already know about those tutorials.

1: should be in the geoset merge tutorial.
2: dunno what program ur using. but with gmax and 3ds go to modify tab, look for edit geometry, it says attach. now select it and attach the parts.
3: dunno.
4: dunno.
5: what o you mean? i dont understand.
6: there is some program that allows you to insert animations.dunno if its in the tool dl section. i found it somewhere on the forums, but dont have it so youre going to have to search for it.
but i doubt it gonna work, fiend has 4 legs and a skellie 2. that can never go without problems.


im not spamming, im just getting sick of people asking question when they are already answered. you just gotta look for it.

Srry if i misunderstood your meaning about spamming... when u r trying to help.

1. I suppose the geoset merge tutorial only teach us how to switch head. It didn't tell about the weapon. Or the way to do it is the same?
2. I m using gmax, but do i need warcraft art tool? Thx for the help anyway.
3. How do i remove "walk defend, attack defend" animation?

5. And how do i insert in "attack - 1, attack - 2" in "the Animation to transfer"? "the Animation to transfer" is when you check the box of "transfer single animation" at the animation transfer programme by oinkerwinkle.
6. I just want a unit like a model in the art forum. Its like nightelf archer's head to body combine with cryptfiendbody. But i want the archer to be skeleton swordman.

Hope some other peoples can help me with 3 and 4.

1: just like the head only you do it with legs or something.
2: no, you cant even use it, its only for 3ds max. when you have attach selected, select the 2 part you want to be attached.(shield and hand)
5: i think you have to type the animations name, but im not sure though. you have to make the same bones, and name them the same like the units animation you want.
6: oh, i think you have to make new animations because the skelleton has a whole different body then the fiend. if you would give a footman with the skelleton animations it would work. but you could try to give him dryad animations. its almost the same.

anyway here a good tutorial about moddeling and animating.
