Great use of emicons. Read my "Just saying what i know" topic and if that doesnt help you then you are a queer.emote_sweat Jk, but it really should help. And if you want to add a file and not replace the original, just put it in a folder (if you want) and run WE. Then put in the path. Ill try to make it ezer on you: 1. Make sure the model is in the correct format, otherwise it wont work (if it was a .mdx model then its gotta be a .mdx model when you put it back in) 2. Put your model and the skin for the model in the War3 main folder (were the war3.mpq file is, not in the actual .mpq file) or in a folder that you decide to make up. Puting it in a folder is ezer most of the time, so do that. 3. Run WE and put in the path for your new model. Say its knight model, and you put it in a folder named KNIGHT. The path would be KNIGHT\(what you named the model). If it doesnt show up, then you need to make sure that you have its skin in the folder with it, and make sure the path is correct. And if you want to put it in a bigger series of folders, just remeber that it starts with the first folder and has a / in between the folder names. And dont add spaces unless your folder is K N I G H T or you named your model with a space in it. 4. After the model works correctly, save the map. 5. Open your map with Winmpq, and choose to add a file in (if you have them in a folder you can choose add folder). Im going on a one folder series just to be clear. Choose add folder, and then it will promt you to put a text in a box. For that text you would put the folder name in plus a /. 6. After doing this wait a few seconds and then close the Winmpq. Then reopen it and choose the map you just added the folder to and see if the files you added are there. Something else to think about is that if you wanna add a file that makes the game yours, Just add in a .txt file named Maker.txt or something like that. That way they know if its legit, because they can open it up and find your file. This lets people make their own versions, but still lets you hold on to it as the original creator. Just remeber that whenever the map is saved (maybe even opened) in the WE, it erases the files you added in. As for changing things like in game backgrounds and such, you have to edit all six parts of the background. And for the color of the loading bar and the loading bar boarder, they have to be edited the same way. They are all blp files i believe, and they should all be in the ui section. If you wanna get to them without having to go through all the other things, use the Image Extractor tool. Its good when your just lookin for .blps. |
