This may be a sound section thread, but I didnt think it would fit there since im not editing it. Anyway, how do you use an imported sound? Like i've imported it, now what do i do to get it into the sound editor?

When you import the sound file check that in the import manager that under Type it says Sound/Music. You can find the music/sound files in Imported folders in the sound editor. If its not showing up as a Sound/Music type in the Import Manager Id check and make sure the file type is Wav or Mp3, i dont think you can make it accept any other file types as sound files. Also you can import sounds from the sound editor by pressing Ctrl+I or hiting the button with the speakerthingy on it with a green arrow pointing to the left on the toolbar, instead of useing the import manager.

Can you put imported sounds on the ability field "Sound-Effect Sound"?

yes, you have to give them the same path( in the import manager) a sound thats already in the game, then that sound will sound like the imported one, pick a sound that you won't use though like -"Sound\Ambient\DoodadEffects\DoorSlam1"
then just go find that sound and set the ability to use that.

Arrgrh i tried that. Ok heres the thing I want to take critical strike, give it to a item, when the hero has it obviously, he has the % chance to score a critical. When he does, i want it to play a sound that I imported called "headshot.wav". A bunch of you might notice that that is from Unreal Tournament, which it is. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I am getting ticked off at this stupid hard-to-detect ability >.<
