I have a map... and i want to give the Owl Scout (usually on POTM) the ability to hold buy items... once the owl gets the item, it goes to the hero but for some reason, the owl never has inventory.... i gave it Hero inventory... i gave it Unit inventory i gave it the upgrade for using backpack then researched it for that particular player.... still doesnt work anyone help?? replies are greatly appreciated |

There is a bug units which have a timed life do not get inventories. |

actually, they can. I saw on this one map, that a summoned unit got an inventory, but i forgot which map it was. |

It is actually the summoned classification, you can try to remove it before adding an inventory ability to it, but it will surelly make it no longer take damage from dispel |

Guest | Hmm... pandas can hold items. ... anything that spawns from SEF can also hold items. Including Pandaren Brewmasters =P (just to make sure, heroes from other spells, like feral spirit, can't hold items.) I don't think units are classified as `summoned' anymore... at least not by default. (not in the object editor, although they used to be.) Changing the buff to Pandaren Elemental didn't work either. Adding an expiration timer removes the item interface for everything... but you don't drop the items you have, unless you do sth like remove Inventory with a trigger. Setting summoned unit duration to 0 (infinite) didn't work, either... >.> I suggest you create the owl with a trigger... |
