When editing a unit in Worldedit, there is a field (I think it's the first of all) for acquisition range, and a bit down you have a field for Attack range. Just set the Acq range to a lower value than the attack range, that's all. Salutions® |

I believe a unit can only attack as far as its acquistion range. |

No, a unit can attack further than its aquisition range. Aquisition is just how close the enemy has to be before the unit reacts and starts shooting. -Miningjrk |

Just checked it in the editor, a unit can only attack as far as its aquistion range. If you dont believe me make a quick test map with rifleman range 1000 and aquistion 100 the rifleman has to go up right next to the unit to attack. And no i dont thing there is a way to make units not auto-aquire units without triggers, if you can do it with triggers. |

ya.. with triggers you just figure out when theyre issued attack order, create a dummy unit with the range you want and tell it to attack. its easier for me cause im doing a building so i dont have to worry about it moving |
