By any normal means you can't. You can create a dummyspell which is still cast and takes mana from the unit but if you aren't moved (Up a cliff) you can just give the mana back. However... I have no idea how you should check if it's up or down a cliff. That's pretty much impossible. |

I think there is an action to check for cliff height |

Yea, you can check cliff height of teh casting position and the target position and cancel the spell if the target is up on a cliff. It'll be MUCH more difficult to prevent it from blinking up a cliff and back down the other side. |

Hmm, you're right, it wouldn't be quite as painful as I thought it would. |

In addition, you could still make the spell work, but only to the last point that isn't on a different cliff-level. So, if a player tries to blink onto a cliff, the spell is cancelled by another order that orders the unit to blink to the last point before the clifflevel-change. That way, the spell isn't cancelled alltogether, it just blinks as far as it can. |

nah.. that'd be a waste, what if theyre right next to the cliff trying to go up it? thats just a waste of mana. |
