The Evolution of a logo with the Schematisation

you're improving slowly, good job.

and i like the zebra the best.

looks cool and kicks ass. (literally)

neat! you have a blank square and a box! neat!

but aside from that, good job! tho you still need a bit more practice with the eyes

glad your not doin anime eyes as much...

haha well the white box is where the original drawing should normally appear and the point of this technique is to reduce everything to the simpliest geometrical form which here is a rectangle, its like an obligation, you got to make the transformation between them and losing yourself, experiment and get crap to evaluate what part is really necessary to identify what is the drawing itself..

one of the Graphic fondamental rule: Quality is found in quantity

Practice doing more realistic eyes from a reference so that you can get used to it. Doing styalized eyes from the start is a bad idea. I speak from experience on that one.

All the eyes are cool...and the girl at the top looks like one of thos british gaurds.

well thx for the comments, i cant really do ultra shading and details with a marker and thoses eyes arent actually supposed to be realistic either + it was more an exercise of speed then quality, im trying to draw as fast as i can since its like what we do at school, however i now have to produce an illustration in maximum 2 hours so i guess i can do that easily

and that girl is inspired from this... (one of my favorite artist btw, made storyboard for princess mononoke and i really like the way we can feel the brush)

I have the dvd of Princess Mononoke... GREAT MOVIE! I LOVE IT... I watched Spirited Away... greatest fairy tale ever... Ownz cinderella... :p

and lucky you i want princess mononoke Dvd and i cant seem to find it, almost bought Spirited away (Truly a great one), but i just bought.... GUNNM mangas, got 6 and i got Vision of Escaflowne whole serie on Dvd !!! and i cant remember much where i saw thoses both drawings, i think it was a movie if i remember... ill search the name

Mononoke DVD is very cheap. 20 bucks only!. Cowboy Bebop was 30$ or 20... but I wnted to buy Akira (anime classic) for 40$ but was sold out... and than came back but at a wooping 60$!
