Guest | Hello. I'm just working on a little RPG. In the first cinematic setting, I wanted to have a Lich standing around, turning towards the character, then turning back towards (whatever) and do the animation Stand Channel. The problem is that whenever he begins channeling, and the game switches back to game mode. He'll stop the animation and begin attacking when attacked. I'm thinking of removing his attack, but that may make him run away. I could make sure he can't move, but what if the sprite will stop and turn around. Anyway, thank you for your help. |

For some reason I get a rather large feeling that you are using a timed cinematic mode for this, if I may quote you for a moment "The problem is that whenever he begins channeling, and the game switches back to game mode." this is the result of a TIMED cinematic mode trigger, what you need to do is use the normal "Cinematic - Turn Cinematic Mode On" this will keep the game in cinematic mode until you turn it "Off". As for the animation problem, not quite sure, but would you mind posting some of the triggers that you have for that area of your cinema? |

In the center of the region that was made, get the lich to start death and decaying. This is maybe a hard way of doing this and im not a triggerer, but if nothing else work you could try... |

Guest | Actually, I'm using the Cinematic Mode On and Off trigger. I'm just trying to make a scene where the hero meets the Lich, they converse. The lich begins channeling, dust units appear, a little speech, back to game mode. I wanted to do something similar to the Naga Summoner level or when you have to defend Kel'Thuzad's summoning in RoC. I not going to have any guards around the lich as that little skirmish is suppose to show you how to complete your main quest. Later on, I'll build liches with the ultimate defense. Kind of similar to the last undead level where Illidan will keep on channeling at the obelisk even when attacked. If I create a channeling spell, the animation would stop playing. When I used the Animation trigger, he could keep at the same animation, until the computer gave it an order that did a new animation. |
