they are all the same in my opinion 4.2/5.1/6 so i dont suppose 7 has that much omg-ness to it? |

its the same as 6 if you're trying to mod warcraft, no art tools whatsoever. |

Perhaps not, it does not support the art tools, but why should discreet do that? Its Blizzard's job to care about their product, in this case the art tools, to support the latest version of Max, not Discreet's. By the way, version 7 includes a very useful, animatable "Edit Poly" modifier, and some improved editable poly tools, and thats just for you loy poly modelers out there. There are also some great texture improvements for low poly texturers, and thats not counting the other new features which won't help in developing stuff for wc3 but are still very cool to look at such as the newest versions of Character Studio (which in second thought could aid you a lot in rigging your low poly character) and Mental Ray. Very nice additions if you ask me. |

go to discreet's website and DL thier 3dsMax7 demo for free for 30 days! It won't work with Blizzard's art tools, however, it's better with dexport than gmax and its cooler anyway. |
