My First Terrain

Guest	Well, here is my first terrain. It is a pond in the middle of a forest with a waterfall feeding it. Constructive Crits. are welcome.

Wow! :o

Thats some great terrain, but i still think it has some minor blemishes.

1) The waterfall, it seems too linear because all the rocks line up.

2) The waterfall itself seems funky because the water is going way down too far at the end. Decrease the Z scale a little and it will hopefully remedy this.

3) Use the raise and lower tool to creat cliffs, not the normal cliffs in the editor, unless you want that look for the terrain.

Anyways, great job!

Guest	Ok, I'll get on that rock problem, and I'm not sure what you're talking about with the waterfall looking funky, and I wanted the cliffs to be that way.

Murcielago)	decent, needs smotheing and more enviormental doddas around the tree bases. also the cliffs like Blitzkreige said are really nice too if you know how to do that, and you can get a sweet effect. DEIT: also lower the trees with crtl + page down, cuz they are flying atm ^_^ -Murcielago)

Guest	Well, here are some new shots. I added some wildlife, some shrubs at the base of the trees, and moved all the trees down a bit. I will experiment with Raise/Lower tool cliffs in future terrains. Hope this is better.

Murcielago)	ss 2 still needs a lil more doddads....dont align them so much, more of ramdom placement.... i like the 3rd one, nice use of the .........mmmm creeps? i duno wut there called >< the frog and the racoon thingies....^_^ -Murcielago)

Vagabond	Everything looks great, it's only that the pond's edges look abit to square.. Try to shape them more random. See ye.

Guest	Well i like the terrain (better that mine.........but i am a nobie like u!)well i think you could add some more doadods,some rocks there are there,and it will be better! ^_^

Falitian	col so thats what it looks like with a frog on the lily pad. Thats awsome for a first terrain, thats awsome for 32nd terrain. The only thing that bugs me is the ashenvale rocks in the middle of the river, it just seems outa place, but mabye its just the tint. Looks really good, hope to see you on the terrain forums more!

FrostFire5765	Wow, for a first terrain thats excellent. And, as Falatian said, it would be great even for a 32nd shot. That's like, 8 times better then my first. If I could grade it, 10/10. Good luck on further projects!
