Guest | I tried looking though the fourms and using the search but could not find what I was looking for so I have you ask you guys. 1. Is there like a refence/information sheet for what each data field does? (Object Editor >> destructibles) 2. I can't get the occlusion to work when a unit walks behide a tree. I also use a custom camera for a different view. 3. Is it possable to somehow take the skin from the terrain and put it on a flat doodad to overlap the terrain for different terrains? Thank you. |

1. The fields should be pretty self-explanatory. You could always play around with the values and see what happens. I doubt that there would be a reference sheet for each field, cuz that's a lot of fields. 2. Might want to ask the people in the general discussion. 3. The skinning forum would help more for this one too. But to the best of my knowledge, you can do that. The way most people "overlap" terrain is they modify the tileset to contain tiles from different maps, i.e. custom tileset including barrens and village tilesets or something. |

Most fields I can ether tell by the name or though testing. Which I do before I ask other people. I don't really want to waste mine or other peoples time. I'll ask in the skinning forum but I don't want to use the tilesets because they can't be placed by triggers. I want the skin to be placed on a flat model (Which I think I can make) so I can just cover terrain with new ones. Anyways thank you for helping me. |

there are a lot of feild values in there, but very few make much differance for terraining. most of the ones youll need to know about are explaned in the tips of the trade thread, and the others are the obviouse ones as to what they change Quote:
this will require some modeling proagram. as youll have to make a flat square model, then unwrap and skin by CnPing from the terrain skins (extractable with winMPQ). if you dont have the programs for this, id suggest asking in the artists request forums. i think it should be a fairly simple and quick request to fulfil, so it will rpaobly get done unlike most requests |
