(apologies on long title) Okay, been awhile since last post. Here's a handful of WIPs...mostly hero ideas for Erw's B&B... First, an update to the 'Cursed Gorgon' (using the Naga Seawitch model) I posted before, with just some tweaks in general. Yes, she's still blindfolded. Second, using SylvanusWindrunner's model, eh, a 'Blood Raynger'. Basically, the character BloodRayne as an archer. No in-game shots on this one tho, plus I didn't finish the face before it was... Third, eh, a Gypsy Ranger, again using SylvanusWindrunner. Just a mysterious yet slightly sexy ranger in a bodice. I planned on changing the hair to black and tanning her skin a bit for a more fitting flesh tone (for a gypsy, I mean), plus doing the face better but... Lastly, what I'm currently working on, a 'Former Corrupt Battlemaiden' using the Warden model. Essentially, take a amazonian woman of the wilds that was corrupted (Diablo 2 style) and possessed for awhile, then recently 'purified'. So, her green/gold armor is showing up under the cloak as the 'taint' she had, in the form of a reddish chitonous material/armor (plus the wings of course). I tried to make it look like the 'red stuff' is withdrawing slowly from her body, up the cloak, to her shoulders and gauntlet. The helmet is currently just a recolor...looking for ideas on it or in general for this one, as I'd like to finish this one at least. OH...oh yeah, one other new thing. Made an icon for the Blood Raynger, you can see it as my current avatar, obviously. ;) Psy D |

Wow! u seem to like skinning females! Well! very promising! i love the faces on the rangers, the Gypsy ranger has a certin something........ the nage looks very kool, although those portrait eyes have some serious shading issues (with the blindfold) looks kinda like a mermaid with a deamon hunter blood-oath o_O The last skin i dont like. I think its the colors. they clash. although read + green works somethimes. i dont think theese shades do the trick... not my things, but thats just an opininon. Great work!Keep those girls comin! -Garith |

Thanx, let's see... Rangers: Yeah, I did like how both of them came out so far. Might even try another sorta 'lightning sorc' ranger as a minor next project. Naga/Gorgon: The problem with the portrait is that the Naga Seawitch model has quite a...forehead poking out above the eyes. As you can see by the in-game shots, there's not much shading at all on the middle of the blindfold. However, the portrait, well, you see. As for the fact that she is blindfolded (like a DemonHunter) is just a plot idea...basically a gorgon that CARES for others and does NOT want to use its cursed gaze to hurt anyone (except in dire straights, aka an ultimate spell). BattleMaiden: I'm starting to agree on the color thing...she's colorful, but not in the right balance. Any suggestions on how to improve it? Lighter/darker reds, lighter/darker greens? Something other than red for the 'taint'? Psy D |

Looks awsome... The warden might seem a devil or something but they are amazing. Hope you'll post them on wc3sear.ch so everyone can download them. ;) |

Very awesome skins. The Blood Rayne one maybe add some blood coming from the mouth. The Gypsy ranger is cool with the blue hair and the runes on the head. But yah the Cursed Battle Maiden er whatever needs to have differant colors. Looks like shes ready for Christmas! But besides that GREAT JOBS! |

the gorgon is very good, i dont like the white clothing tho. the blood rayne is cool, only the red looks a bit blurry (or it is very detailed, i couldnt see it on the pic.) the battlemaiden is very good, i like how you did the red parts. the colors look a bit weird but cool. its not like the basic combo colors like: red and blue or black and yellow. i say leave it as it is. this one is just to original to change. good job, cant wait to see some more of your female skins! |

Thanx guys. ^^ Daelin: I may put them up for download, just depends if they're needed for any maps yet on boards I've shown them. THE_END: Heh, blood trickling from the corners of her mouth would be quite cool...I'll have to add that next revision. As for the gypsy, I think you're the first to even notice the runes/head-lace she has on. ;) And the Battlemaiden...heh, heh, yeah, just realized the Christmas-ish color theme. *shrugs* Green = wild, red = 'taint'...really didn't want to use black for the latter, as it'd make the 'veins' hard to see. ^^ Windrunner: Originally, the gorgon had a tattered brownish top. I then changed it something cleaner according to 'directions'/suggestions I got for a map she was apparently going in...the white looks a bit more 'Greek' I suppose. The current version is the results of those suggestions...and then suddenly she didn't go in. :D Yeah, the red stiching (and other bits) on Blood Rayne is actually pretty detailed. Taking shots in wc3viewer and then converting them seems to screw up my detail often. It's not so blurry really. ^^ And the battlemaiden...yeah, weird colors, but I find them a unique mix. Don't always have to go with standards. ;) Juice: Much thanx. ^^ Psy D |

lets do a chant saying 'we love psy!' its such a shame none of them worked out as B&B heros, your skins are certainly up for the standard. |

Thanx Erw. ^^ Really, the only one that REALLY irks me is the Gorgon. I just found the turnaround quite sudden after you, Vig and the guys liking the concept and the skin, helping me get it 'perfect' step-by-step and ready for use...and then all of sudden, Vig no like anymore. I did leave the spells open to you guys (as I recall 'too much passive and slow' as why he didn't like it) after offering plenty of options. *shrugs* I'll probably, for the hell of it, skin the Thunder Sorceress (the one with the Lightning Whisp and Charge-Your-Pals spells) next, yes, on a Sorc as opposed to a Ranger, just for fun and low hope...tho I believe Mushroom Cow just filled the last caster spot. ;) Psy D |

well, i cant see why they dont like your skins. its a shame that your skins arent used. |

its not just a skin that makes up the hero buddy, it takes a lot more then that... none of psys skins came to complete a really good hero sadly enough... shes not the only one, hueter and me have some non-used skins laying around as well becouse no good concpt came of them (imp, dwarfurion, reefdweller... slave driver.) |

i know, but Psy D was asked to do these skins. and i think they are very good and it is just a pity that these skins arent going to be used. but i see your point. |

Nah, lemme clear that before a flame jumps. I wasn't 'asked' to do any of the skins in this thread...well, maybe I'd loop the Gorgon one as being asked to complete as they certainly did push me along in making it fitting for a concept before 'oops'. All were just skins to go along with hero concepts I made myself, to help propagate their themes and such. That's probably why they didn't make it, as they were my own from the ground up...hell, I drew and 'created' pretty much every char I offered (yes, I have the drawings to prove that ;) ) before ever skinning them. I wasn't skinning any heroes already with completed concepts... ...unlike last time where I did Aphrodite for 'Coastal Conflict' according to the proto-Pixie/Spring Queen theme Erw gave me...oops. :D And as for doing so, skinning an accepted concept (not of my own), well, you see I highly prefer doing female skins...and B&B is a bit deficient in female heroes IMO. They had the Pixie/Spring Queen right off the bat so that was already done (twice ;) ) and the Bog Witch came out of nowhere from Erw's pen while I was doing the Gorgon. No other female concepts accepted = me throwing my own into the ring on a severely limited pool of models. ;) So, again, the only one I was 'asked' to do/continue for B&B was the Gorgon...and maybe the next skin I do just cause she had mostly positive feedback in concept, tho no chance to get in pretty much due to timing. ^^ Psy D |

i didnt knew that, srry, and apologies to erwt, i didnt want to start a argument or anything. usally you make skins for a project if you where asked to do them, but you just made them youself -go Psy D! ;). |
