Cant get my hero to lvl past 5

I set the max level to 32 for my heros but they wont lvl past 5 anyone know why and how to fix it?

because beyond lvl 5, the heros don't get XP by killing creeps. but you can fix it:
advanced > gameplay constants > use custom gameplay constants > hero xp gained - creep reduction table > and here you can set the xp gained by the heros by killing creeps... warning: you have to set a value for each level.

You don't have to set a value for each level. If you set values for 3 levels, ever value after the third level will use the last value. So you if set one value, 100, every level will give you full exp.
