I got a few questions about this action. Now, I know if you do a (set life of target unit - x) and it dies, you do not gain experience. Mainly, triggered abilities that do triggered damage do not give you experience. I noticed this trigger, and you make a unit damage another unit. Does the damage/stats of the original unit have anything to do with this trigger? So if the unit ordered to damage another unit has a base damage of 0, it won't matter correct? I figured much so, but what if the ordered unit doesn't have any attacks enabled either? I'm basically just trying to figure out if the ordered unit will grant its owner experience for kills, and if I need to alter the ordered unit's stats any to get this trigger to work. I tried it a few times, but my map is so incredibly hectic that its hard to tell where the experience is coming from at times. |

Using the Unit - Damage Target gives exp to the owner of the units thats told to do that damage. Even if the unit has no attack it will still do the damage, the phisical damage type and spell type damage are set in the trigger meaning a unit with a peircing attack can do 200 Chaos damage through the trigger. |

Okay, one more question. Can the unit damage another unit no matter where it is on the map regardless of his range? So if the unit being ordered to the damage has an attack range of 500, he can still damage units in a range of say, 5000? Oh, and can you damage units with the locust ability, even though they don't count as a valid target? |

Yep. Its not linked to the unit's attack in any way, their putting "Order" in the function name is sorta misleading. Quote:
Nope. |
