ok right now i'm making an AoS .... halfway... more to say bout 80% complete . But lots of custom thigns have already been added . and the problem is i hate my terrain . i hate the sucky loardarom summer , i ahte the entire path .... that's coz in the beggingin i did'nt igve a damn bout the terrain until now . i regret.

so is it POSSIBLE i could get an entirely new terrain ( diff size too , current map too big ) , new tileset , new CLIFF . fresh from oven.. all new.. WITHOUTH touching my VERY VERY sensitive trigger and object data and not to forget regions ....

is it possible? just redesign entire terrain with diff tileset then move the region to appropriate place .

This is VERY possible, you can use the Advanced > Modify Tileset option, or use the WEU (World editor unlimited) and edit tiles though that, it's not very hard, by selecting a different tileset you (like you said you would do anyway) have to redesign the tileset and place the regions whereever you needed etc. But yes, it is very easy to do. You can find Advanced > Modify Tileset at the top of the WE screen (where you do mani editing etc.) just look find File and look to the right (or just hope u see it first time) and look on the middle and to the right.

hm, what I suggest is take the Same Level selection in the terrain pallet, and find a flat piece of land to use, and make the ENTIRE map flat again, then change tilesets, changing tilesets with terrain already made, will create a really screwed up look to the map which you might have found, so this is probably the only desicion to make. If all else fails, upload the map here and I'll change the tileset for you, which of course you'll have to start from scratch for the TERRAIN only, just tell me the tileset you want, and I'll fix it, I hope :p anyway I hope I have helped out somewhat :/ Peace

Go to Advanced, Modify Tileset, and select the tileset you want. If you want summer cliffs, choose Lordaeron summer, if you want winter cliffs, any of the icy tilesets, and so on. If you want to delete all your terrain, go to the terrain palette, and press ctrl+A and then just cut it. That should take everything out. If that doesn't work, reduce the map size to like, 32x32 or 64x64 and and level the entire thing. Then you can increase the map size again to whatever you want.

EDIT By the way, this really should go in the general forum. I'll move it.

Just change the tileset to a different one.

1) Go to the Advanced menu
2) Select Modify Tileset
3) Change the tileset to whatever you want

Be warned, this can cause undesirable results because not all tilesets have the same amount of textures.

As for the cliffs not changing, they should. Make sure you select a pre-made tileset.

This should allow the cliff textures to change.

I have had this problem before. I suppose the things that I would say have been covered. No need to speak anymore. But I had this problem once (I mine as well speak since I have nothing better to do at the moment...), I needed to get some terrain from one map into another one... Well, actually, I had 11 maps to do, and only one set of triggers, units, etc. All the stuff needed to be identical in EVERY SINGLE MAP. I had ALL the units, ALL the triggers, and 11 different terrains with NO units and NO triggers. The triggers needed to be slightly changed for each tileset, yaddah yaddah, had to re-place units throughout map, blah blah (And these maps were HUGE and took 10 minutes to save/load/place anything). SOOO It took me a total of about 16 hours of straight work, from morning to night, with food and bathroom breaks (All my friends were out of town.) Anyway, what a disaster. There were so many problems...Damn I don't even want to get into this stuff. Anyway, it sucks. I recomend thinking ahead next time.

EDIT: I payed too much for coffee that day, too.
