Simple 'nough. Easiest way is to get WarCraft 3 Viewer (downloadable somewhere her if you'v'nt already got it. Texture files (.blp's)'re found in TerrainArt/Tileset/Tile_Grass.blp or something like that. Now, extract one of these by clicking on it in the Treeview, and then under the "Current File"-tab, "Extract (and convert) BLP". That'll give the option to extract it as BLP, BMP, TGA and JPG. And maybe something more... meh. Anyway, I tend to save it as a .bmp, and then I open it in PhotoShop and do the changes I want. Anyway, when I'm done, I run it trough Warcraft 3 Viewer again, but this time I convert it from .bmp into a .blp. Then I import it in the World Editor. If I, for an example, want to replace the Ashenvale Grass file, I give it the path TerrainArt/Ashenvale/Ashen_Grass.blp. 'course, there's other ways, but I find this method useful since I (in PhotoShop) can see the borders in the texture, so I can work from them. On another note: some tiles take 2 in space, and this is because their .blp's are twice as large as 1-spacers. If you import a "small" .blp to a 2-space texture's path, it will become a 1-space tile. Well, hope you understand. And there's prob'ly lots of tutorials somewhere... |

in the world editor when you hit "t" the terrain properties come up. usually 6 or 7 choices i believe. |

Tiles, Vagabond, Tiles... You have to restart the World Editor. Then it'll work. |

If u want to use other tiles than go to advanced, modify tileset, from there u can use tiles from different tilesets, but if u want to use custom tiles u can either skin them yourself or download some from around here. Hope that helps ;) |
