Guest | How do you import your modded slk files into the map? |

You get an mpq importer/exporter program (see the downloads section..), and then you open up the .w3m that you want to add it to, and just import it into the map. =) -Fredric |

I have the same problem. The SLK is getting added but the changes don't take effect. I am sure I have assigned/allowed the correct abilities to the units that are supposed to have them. Edit: NEVER MIND! Look here if this issue is bugging you. I's all better now, ma!:D |

Silent K: If you want help, try to be helpful yourself - as well. The guy before you didn't know how to do it, you figured it out.. and then you dissappear, not telling what the problem was. Bad style, in my opinion. Diuijan: I had the same problem, are you are that the file is not already loaded in excell? I think, when it is loaded by excell, you can't move it or edit it with other programs.. Always, ALWAYS close Excell before you are going to add the file. |

Well excuse me for linking to where I figured it out instead of explicitly typing it again. My problem was failing to include proper prefixes on imported files. For example, I had AbilityData.slk in my W3M instead of Units\AbilityData.SLK. To add prefixes(using WinMPQ) use the add folder option when importing the files, and type in the prefix, including backslash, when prompted. |

I wrote a Tutorial about it, just dl it from the tutorial string. Its easy to follow, and the different programs and items you need are bulleted in the beginning and bold in the text. I made it a while ago, but just posted it recently. Just check the tutorials string if you need more help, k? EDIT: changed it to a .txt file, cuz its easier. Double spaced now for easier reading. |
