Err.... BUFFS 'n EFFECTS! help...

Hi... can someone help me with the informations about buff and effects....
I wonder.... WHAT IS BUFFS AND EFFECTS?? I know the basics but i want more detailed information.. Can someone please make a detailed answer?

Buffs are things which come attached to spells and show up on effected unit's command cards under "Status" where you can mouse over it and see a descritpion (e.g. "This unit has Bloodlust; it's faster"). Also you can assign it an icon matching that of the spell.

Effects are mostly for big, spiffy spells - there's effects for Flame Strike, Starfall, Burning Oil, Earthquake, and more. If you're going to use these it'll be for someting like this.

Buffs don't stack with copies of the same buff. So, when making a buff pick some obscure thing you probably run into.
