Guest | Wasn't Sure if this was for skinning or modelling section but here goes... I have 2 different skins for the same model. Is there away i can have 2 different versions of the unit in the game each with one of the skins. For example if it was a footman, i could have some footman with their helmets on and others without their helmets. How would i go about this? Thanks The_Creator |

Well, for using more than 1 skin on the same model, you must change the skin path and name to the path of your choice (which your skin will have in the import manager in the WE) and the skin name to the name of your skin. As for footmans to have no helmets, I'm too lazy to explain it here. |

first of all this is for the model forum since you want footman without helmets. it can be done offcourse, trough moddeling. |

Guest | He is saying that he has skinned two versions of footman (helmet/no helmet) And wants to have 2 models. Well ok. To make them both creatable(purchasable) u should edit the barracks in the Object editor (in world edit). But first - u need to copy the model and import it in same folder as the second texture(without helm). That should work |

since the helmet is his head you cant just alpha it out (too bad) I have tried to skin the footman so that the helmet would look like a head but it looked realy weird so i stopped. |

oh, well then you have to get a second footman.mdx and change the skin path. and import it. but i have no idea how, i saw something in a tread a while back. maybe through mdl. |

ah yes now i remember. look for textures, next to it you find the pats and make something else of it. maybe just add 2 on the end. |
