I was wondering if there was a way to make a weather effect pause. I'm working on something where I want the illusion of super-fast movement, by making the rain stop. Even if the only way is a work around method, I'll take it. I really want to find a way to do this. |

well.... you could have a region where the effect is, and then move it at will. |

Um, no, how would that pause the rain? It would just move the rain around. I want the rain to freeze in motion. I need something like Animation - Set Weather Effect's Animation Speed to 0.00% That is what I want to happen, and I can't find a way. |

I've never seen an order to stop the action of a regoinal effect light that. (Though it coud easily exist, I've just never looked for it.) Perhaps giving a unit the model of rain, and order the unit to freeze? I'm not sure how large the rain model could be, or if you can even attach it to a unit. It may just be many rain model units where you want the rain, and then just order them to all stop and start. |

I think that AntJAB has the right Idea here. You would give the unit the rain model, then under Animation, i'm pretty sure there is a pause effect. I'm not sure if you can give units the rain model though. |

Um, yeah, you can't. and besides, if that were the only way, you'd have to place like, a thousand of that unit, and that would majorly lag, even if you used the simplest unit as a base. Maybe I should just give up on that idea for now... If anybody knows of a way to do this, still, please post! |

Uh... Your best bet is to set the game speed to -Slow-. Either that or Create and remove the weather effects real fast. [Untested.] |
