I have some Halflife models that are all in MDL format, how do I use these on Wc3???

The only similarity is that they're named MDL. They aren't actually interchangable. I don't know anything about editing models from that game, but maybe you can ask in some forum related to it how to import into 3ds max or Milkshape. From there, it's not overly hard to get it into Warcarft.

Well my guess would be to get the halflife model decompile it with milkshape and then using a smd importer for 3dsmax then saving it as an mdx file with mdx importer/exporter

NOTE: this is only a guess

three import/exports? I'd think that after any model goes through that many plugins and programs that it will either look really distorted, or be missing something *cough**animations**cough*.
That's just in my experience tho...

Yeah thats right you would be missing animations..... though you can make some more animations for it

You'd be missing animations anyway unless HL uses bones for its animations. In which case, then it would simply require a 3DS Max plugin for HL models, and a 3DS Max exporter for WC3 models

Same way Cookie got the NWN models into WC3, cept he had to add bones to get it to animate correctly
