so i need entangling roots to only make the unit immobile but still able to do all other stuff ... like in the old RoC days. ensnare does just what i need and i tryed to make an ensnare based ability with the look of entangling roots... well i changed the icon and stuff and created buffs of ensnare just with the entangling root effect and annother discription... there were 3 ensnare buffs ... ensnare(general), ensnare(air and ensnare(ground) well i picked of general and ground and changed their strings because i don't need air units to be targetable by my roots... i changed the buffs used by my ensnare based roots ability to the once i just mentioned but it still doesn't change anything ... it shows the normal ensnare effect as if i didn't change any buff... why that? perhaps there is a gameplay constant boolean that sets if roots only block movement or not that would fix my problem in no time but i can't find it ... ther are things like can deactivate for all the stuff but i can't find anything about entangling roots... |

you have to edit the standard ensare buff to use your model. some abilities are just wierd like that. |

well i think i will still need the normal ensnare as well... i tried it with webg and it works ... web has no general buff but a ground one anyway somewhy... nevertheless it's autocasting will also be a great help. thanks perhaps i would've kept trying this ensnare stuff if you didn't tell me that it has some kind of buff bug. |

can you just use the normal entangling roots and set the damage to zero? |

Read the question... He wants that the unit can still attack like in ROC Entangling Roots... |
